Digital Automation Engineer (experienced)

Are you an experienced developer who likes to dig into new technology instead of building the same thing for years? Do you want a say in what the solution looks like, rather than closing a ticket someone else designed? Does it give you energy to free people from the work they are still stuck with on a Friday evening? Then you might be the Digital Automation Engineer we are looking for.

Robonext is an independent IT firm based in Lint, specialised in Intelligent Automation. We build software robots and AI agents, we develop custom software when a standard tool does not fit, and we guide our customers through its adoption. Since 2019 we have automated more than 1000 processes that run in production every day, across Finance, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Operations and HR.

This is what you will do:

  • You talk to our customers, get to know their business processes and understand where things are going wrong for them
  • You design the technical solution to automate that process, using RPA, AI and low code, and you defend your choices with the customer
  • You build robots and automations with tools such as UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform
  • You also write real code: for customers where a standard tool does not fit, we build custom solutions in .NET
  • You test your own work thoroughly and solve problems until the solution runs reliably
  • You coach your junior colleagues and help safeguard the quality of what we deliver
  • You deliver training to customers who want to build their own automations
  • You help monitor existing automations and make sure they keep working when the customer’s environment changes

You recognise yourself in this:

  • You have a professional bachelor or master degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent
  • You have at least two years of software development experience, preferably in .NET or RPA. Knowledge of .NET is a clear plus, since that is what we build our custom work in
  • You already work with AI tools such as Claude Code or Codex, or you are keen to start. We use them daily and we expect you to do the same
  • You communicate clearly, including with people who are not IT specialists, and you are willing to push back on a customer when that is needed
  • You are customer-oriented and take responsibility for what you deliver
  • You can express yourself fluently in Dutch and English

This is what we have to offer:

  • A full-time job in a growing company
  • Your own projects and the room to shape the technical approach
  • Hybrid working: three days at the office in Lint, two days from home
  • An informal working environment with short communication lines, where initiative is valued
  • A competitive salary package with fringe benefits
