Robonext, an IT company from Edegem, has opened a new office in Liège. From there, the company will serve the Walloon market to accelerate the digitization and automation of Walloon companies.
Robonext is specialized in automating administrative processes. The company automates repetitive processes within Finance, HR, IT and other departments by developing software robots that mimic the actions of employees in various IT systems. The specific technology that robonext works with is called Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and according to research firm Gartner, it is the fastest growing software segment in the world.
Robonext, founded in 2019 as an independent integrator by three engineers, has grown strongly in recent years to a team of 20 employees. The head office is located in the historic Fort of Edegem. The company now has more than 50 customers such as Aquafin, water-link, Scania Benelux and ZNA.
Robonext establishes its local office in La Grand Poste in Liège, the historic postal building along the Meuse, with a local team of software developers and analysts. The company plans to recruit 5 employees in the coming months and to grow into a local team of 20 employees by the end of next year.
Joris Van Ostaeyen, Chief Strategy Officer of robonext, explains: “We notice that despite the acceleration in digitization since COVID, a significant potential is left on the table for companies to automate their administrative processes. This is the case in Flanders and Brussels, but certainly also in Wallonia, where the adoption of these technologies is still quite limited. We believe in a step-by-step approach in very close cooperation with the customer, in which good communication and fast service are crucial. That is why we believe that a local team specialized in digital automation is the best guarantee to optimally support Walloon organizations to increase their productivity and competitiveness.”
