D’Ieteren is a group of services to the motorist founded in 1805. D’Ieteren Auto distributes Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Bugatti and Yamaha vehicles across Belgium.
MyWay PRO is a start-up grown from the strategical thinktank of D’ieteren Auto. 100% independent, they take a multi-brand approach to the used car business. MyWay PRO offers an end-to-end solution for used car dealers, from sourcing to selling.
The Challenge
MyWay PRO was faced with a significant workload related to the administration of used cars. Paperwork related to the registration of vehicles, certificates of conformity and purchase invoices caused manual processing times and potential delays.
The Solution
Robonext implemented an integrated solution to handle used car documents automatically, consisting of UiPath Robotic Process Automation (RPA) as well as a custom-built document parsing solution.
The RPA robot collects the relevant documents that are scanned in mass in a pdf file. Subsequently, this input is fed to a document parser that makes use of Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The document parser splits the document input into separate files, re-orients it in the correct format, categorizes the documents and identifies Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) in the content of the files.
Subsequently, the metadata extracted from these documents is used by the robot for uploading the documents in D’Ieteren’s systems.
